Join us on 18 June for an inspiring panel discussion where experienced professionals share real insights on career growth, balance, and navigating the Danish workplace with confidence.

Building a successful work life is about more than titles and promotions. It’s about growth, balance, belonging, and making choices that support both your professional goals and personal wellbeing.

In this engaging panel discussion, experienced professionals come together to explore what success really looks like in the Danish workplace — especially for professionals of color navigating international careers.

During this session, our panel will:

    • Break down what “career success” means in the Danish context
    • Discuss navigating workplace culture, expectations, and unspoken rules
    • Share practical strategies for career progression, visibility, and leadership
    • Explore work-life balance, mental wellbeing, and sustainable performance

🎙️Speakers:
Daniel Betrian is a technology and business leader born and raised in Curaçao, bringing an international perspective shaped by both his roots and his professional journey. Working at the intersection of business strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise technology, he focuses on helping organizations translate complex challenges into practical, people-centered solutions. Throughout his career, Daniel has been passionate about building bridges — between business and technology, strategy and execution, and people from different backgrounds and experiences. As someone who understands the value of representation and opportunity, he is particularly driven by creating spaces where diverse perspectives are heard, talent is empowered, and individuals can see possibilities beyond the limits often placed on them.

Selim Ablo-Nielsen (J.D., LL.M.) is an experienced legal and compliance professional currently serving as Director of Compliance at Novo Nordisk. Originally from Ghana, she earned her law degrees from The George Washington University Law School and built a legal career in the United States, practicing in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia before relocating to Denmark. Driven by a commitment to advancing diversity, empowerment and inclusion, Selim co-founded ProWoc (Professional Women of Colour Network Denmark) in 2019. The non-profit organisation focuses on career development, mentorship, and increasing visibility of women of colour in the Danish workplace and society at large. Having previously served as ProWoc’s President, Selim continues to guide its strategic direction as a member of the ProWoc Advisory Board.

🎙️Moderator:
Naila Kosar is a UK-qualified lawyer whose career sits at the intersection of law, human rights, and corporate accountability. She began in human rights legal practice before transitioning into in-house compliance and governance roles, where she developed expertise across data privacy, AI governance, emerging technology regulation, sustainability, and human rights due diligence. Her work centres on helping organisations navigate complex regulatory landscapes while building practical, people-centred governance frameworks. Alongside her professional work, Naila is actively involved in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, with a particular interest in fostering inclusive workplaces and supporting professionals navigating international careers and identity in Denmark.
