ProWoc leadership team comprises a President, Vice President, and Directors who set the strategy, make decisions and ensure that the strategic aspirations of ProWoc are met and that value is created for our members. Each Director heads a committee that is responsible for an area of importance to the organisation and our members.

Ifeoma Okpala

Ifeoma Okpala

President

 
Ifeoma is an executive coach and shipping & logistics professional living in Denmark since 2019. She has over 15 years of international shipping and logistics experience having worked in various management roles in locations across Africa and Europe. She is presently working for Maersk, a global integrated logistics company headquartered in Denmark.

Ifeoma holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, as well as certifications in Project Management and Executive Leadership from the UK and South Africa. She obtained her Professional Certification in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School Denmark in 2021.

Ifeoma is an avid traveler and loves connecting people and ideas to facilitate impactful encounters, change of perspectives, and narratives. She is passionate about supporting professionals through mentoring, coaching, and equipping them with tools for personal and career development.

Jackie Ogutu

Jackie Ogutu

Vice President and Head of Membership

Jackie is a Senior Programme Manager at the World Diabetes Foundation working within Digital Health and is a member of the Diabetes Compass Initiative that seeks to harness the power of technology to strengthen health systems in low- and middle-income countries. With over 15 years of global experience at Novo Nordisk within brand management, commercial excellence and digital health, she is driven by the passion to do purposeful work and leverage her experience and network in driving impact and change through partnerships.

Having lived and worked in multiple countries over the years; Kenya, Greece, Australia and Denmark, she understands too well the challenges that professional women have to navigate to establish themselves successfully and thrive in a foreign country. Her knowledge and lived experiences, coupled by her passion for personal development and focus on building a strong network will be immensely valuable to ProWoc in her role as Vice President and Head of Membership.

Nyeleti Sue-Angel Nkuna

Secretariat

Nyeleti Sue-Angel Nkuna holds a postgraduate qualification, a BA (Honours) in Dramatic Arts, and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Witwatersrand, wherein her MBA includes electives in International Business and Strategy completed at Copenhagen Business School.

Leaning from this hybrid of creative arts and business, her career bridges advertising, television, and consultancy delivering customer engagement solutions for some of the world’s leading brands. In her 12-year career, spanning South Africa and Denmark, Nyeleti has had the privilege of working with companies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Deloitte, and currently with Wunderman Thompson MAP as a Senior Communication Strategist.

At ProWoc, she is our Secretariat and is passionate about building relationships through value- driven networking. Nyeleti is also an experienced moderator with a knack for facilitating robust discussions and engaging with different audiences regardless of size, with ease and flair.

Juliet Biira Hansen

Head of Career & Personal Development

Juliet Biira Hansen is an economist with a PhD in agricultural economics from the University of Copenhagen and industry experience spanning 8 years in consulting, IT project management and strategy. She currently works as a Strategy manager at Novozymes’ headquarter in Denmark. Novozymes is the world leader in Biosolutions. As a strategy manager, Juliet is responsible for supporting Novozymes’ strategic direction within the Operations, Supply chain and Quality areas.

Juliet is passionate about bringing people together to be inspired and empowered to achieve their professional and personal ambitions, while having fun along the way. She believes in ProWoc’s mission to increase the visibility and impact of women of color in Denmark because she would like the world and not least her two children, aged 8 and 11 to see and hear positive stories of people of color making an impact in Denmark.

Juliet grew up in Uganda and has lived in Denmark for the last 14 years embracing all that Denmark brings including the hyggelige cold winters and unique culinary experiences.

Sondra Duckert, ProWoc Celebrates

Head of Communications & Visibility

 

Sondra is a UX Designer and Data Analyst and the founder and owner of Sondra Duckert Consulting, a customer centric UX Design, SEO, and web development company. Her career expands nearly 18 years working with different Ad agencies, user research, biotech/biopharmaceutical companies with most of her clients based in Denmark.

Sondra is an American and has lived in Denmark since 2006. She has a MSc. in Technology, specializing in Media Management from Aalborg University in Copenhagen. Sondra is currently a certified data analyst specializing in ‘people analytics’ around optimizing workplace performance.

At ProWoc, Sondra is committed to promoting the organization’s mission and vision. She strongly believes in empowering women in Denmark to increase their visibility and make a greater impact.

Caroline Onyango-Dyrgaard

Caroline Onyango-Dyregaard

Head of Sponsorship & Liaison

 

Caroline Onyango-Dyregaard is a Kenyan American national living in Copenhagen Denmark for the last 9 years. She is a U.S. trained and licensed lawyer in Washington DC. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio State University and a BA (Honours) from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She currently works as Senior Compliance Counsel at Novo Nordisk’s headquarter in Denmark where she provides strategic advice on the company’s compliance and ethics program. She is an experienced commercial lawyer and risk advisor spanning 15 years, having held legal, compliance and risk advisory positions at BASF, A.P. Møller-Maersk, United Nations and in private practice in Washington DC.

Caroline is raising 2 boys, a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old, enjoys running half marathons, traveling, reading, music and is a foodie and fashion enthusiast

Yewande Awoderu Board member

Yewande Awoderu

Yewande is a Commercial Finance Business Partner, partnering with Global Sales at A.P. Møller Maersk – a global integrated logistics company headquartered in Denmark. She has experience with using business insights and analysis to challenge thought processes and empower stakeholders to accelerate growth & drive profitability; she also has 9 years of experience in Sales transformation, efficiency, and effectiveness within the shipping and logistics industry.

Yewande is Nigerian and has been living in Denmark since 2017. She has a BSc. in Computer Information Systems from Babcock University, Nigeria; an MSC. in Information and Knowledge Management from Loughborough University, UK, and an affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA).

Yewande believes in the vision and mission of ProWoc, especially as it pertains to empowering and promoting positive images of women of colour. Yewande is passionate about personal finance, investment, and financial freedom for women – especially women of colour. By speaking up, investing in women of colour, and ensuring they are equipped with what it takes to succeed in their respective professional worlds, ProWoc is also instrumental in bridging the financial gap.
