Let’s talk about what often stands in the way of realising our goals – FEAR.

We all experience it, so how do we prevent it from paralysing us from action?

What are you bests tips for acting through fear?

Here are three of our favourite ones:
1. Cognitive reframing.
Fear can be rooted in unhelpful beliefs (e.g. “If I say what I really think, I’ll be judged negatively”). Identify those thoughts and replace them with realistic, empowering alternatives (e.g. “My insight could spark better decisions”).

2. Gradual exposure
Don’t dive into the deep end: build confidence through micro-challenges. Start by sharing one idea in a small team huddle. Next, step up in a larger group. Over time, repeated success desensitizes your brain to the fear trigger.

3. Mental rehearsal and visualization
Elite athletes use visualization to prime performance under pressure. Close your eyes and run through the meeting or presentation or conversation. Visualise yourself speaking clearly and confidently, answering potential questions and managing emotions.
