From his upbringing in the Cape Flats of Cape Town, South Africa, to senior executive roles at ABB, Metso, Ecolab, and FLSmidth, his journey reflects resilience, ambition, and the power of opportunity.
He has led multi-billion-dollar businesses across Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific—driving modernization, digital innovation, and sustained growth. Yet at the core of his leadership philosophy is something deeply human: mentorship.
Qasim often speaks about the lasting influence of his mentor, Robert “Bob” Denovan, whose early investment in him continues to shape how he now invests in others. A strong advocate for inclusive leadership and sustainable performance, he believes that giving—time, trust, opportunity—creates impact that endures across industries, communities, and generations.
