This year’s theme #breakingthebias is asking us all to imagine a gender equal world.
“Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.
Yesterday, to mark the occaision of #IWD2022, ProWoc – Professional Women of Colour Denmark joined forces with three other organisations: PWN Copenhagen, Diversity Factor and Deloitte Denmark who are not just imagining, but working hard to create a more equal world.
We all have bias and we all need to work together so that we do not act on them in ways that result in discrimination.
A huge thank you to our guest speakers, Mira C. Skadegard, Yanaba Mompremier Rymark Sankoh, Birgitte Baadegaard, and Thandi Dyani for broadening the discourse around bias and for giving us tools in how we can speak up for one another, find allies, share our platforms and support women/womxn.
For every one who attended last evening event, thank you for sharing your stories with us and please remember your homework:
“Write down (and act on) one thing that you can do to contribute to change.”
Special thanks to those who organised this event: Ifeoma Okpala, Helene Aagaard, Ada Laura Stein, Phaedria Marie St. Hilaire, Henriette Schøn (Schoen), Ph.D. Jessica Pedraza (she/her), Sondra Duckert, Natalia Fiszka, Gisela Rius Sanchez, Trine Stærk, Christensen, Kogulan Kugathasan, Morten Meldal. Thanks to Empirical for the kind sponsorship.

ProWoc is thrilled to share that Carriene Rendbo is the ProWoc Ambassador for 2021.
Allyship is for Everyone
We often hear about allyship in the context of social responsibility. That is to say, in the interest of being ethical, good people, we should look out for those among us who are marginalized or come from a less privileged social position.
