Dounia Boukaouit joins us as our Project Manager and Lorena Torres as our Partner Manager at a crucial time where it is necessary for us to strengthen our team to serve our growing community and company collaborations. Both Dounia and Lorena will play a crucial role in supporting ProWoc’s mission and vision ensuring we remain a sustainable organization as we work toward a more equitable society for all.

Dounia is a Danish woman with Moroccan heritage and holds a Master of Science in Human Ecology from the University of Lund. Her diverse professional background includes various administrative roles as well as engagement in community initiatives that support underprivileged youth and promote girls’ involvement in sports. She is driven by passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and have a strong commitment to creating a fairer world.
Dounia looks forward to leveraging her personal and professional experience alongside dedication to ProWoc’s mission, to serve and support our community of ambitious and dynamic women on their path to unlocking their full potential.
“Over the next 6 months, my focus will be on overseeing the planning and execution of ProWoc Programs, working closely with the truly inspiring Board members and dedicated Heads of the volunteering teams. From organizing impactful events to fostering cross-team collaboration, I aim to ensure our projects stay on track and play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining internal processes and effective communication to keep our community informed, connected, and engaged.

Lorena is especially passionate about generating and nurturing purposeful partnerships for collective action and fostering opportunities for human development and planetary well-being. She applies her creative flair to nurture meaningful, fun and inclusive spaces where diverse voices are made visible and where the magic of collaborations can strengthen and thrive.
Lorena’s interdisciplinary approach is informed by her educational background in Anthropology, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science from the University of Hamburg and University of Copenhagen; a master’s in International Relations & Development from Aalborg University Copenhagen; as well her more creative background in minor studies on Visual Communications from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg and Curatorial Studies from the Universität der Künste Berlin.
