Dear ProWoc Community,
As I reflect on this year, I’m filled with gratitude for what we have built together. ProWoc has always been more than an organisation to me—it’s a community, a purpose, and a source of deep meaning. I invite you to connect with each other in this yuletide season, as sisterhood, community and support is often just one conversation away.
2025 has been a remarkable year because of you—your passion, your engagement, and your belief in our shared mission. Thank you for being a part of ProWoc, for contributing your time and presence, and for helping shape the community we all care so much about.
Following the birth of my daughter, I will be stepping away for a short while on parental leave, I do so knowing that ProWoc is strong, vibrant, and in incredibly capable hands. I can’t wait to rejoin you next year, to celebrate the impact we will continue to make and our meaningful sisterhood.
Wishing you a peaceful, joyful holiday season—and looking forward to reconnecting soon.
With warmth and gratitude,
Ifeoma
ProWoc Leadership Update
We are delighted to share that ProWoc President Ifeoma Okpala Aina welcomed a daughter in October and following this, will be on maternity leave until 1 September 2026.
During her absence, Vice President Nyeleti Sue Angel Nkuna will serve as Interim President (1 Nov 2025 – 31 Aug 2026) ensuring continuity and positive momentum with Prowoc’s strategic plans and community growth.
Nyeleti will also step into the role of Interim Head of Sponsorship & Liaison (S&L) following Adlgisa Arang’s resignation due to personal reasons. Given how critical funding and partnerships are for ProWoc’s mission, this ensures continuity. A new Head of S&L will be elected at our 2026 AGM.
With these changes, the Head of Secretariat position will be vacant. We plan to appoint an interim lead and will update you by January 2026
