SUMMARY:ProWoc Annual Wellness Event - Forest Walk and Fitness
DESCRIPTION:Recharge after the summer with a guided therapeutic forest walk facilitated by Annelise Goldstein followed by a light workout with fitness coach Abdouile. \nForest Therapy builds on the Japanese practice known as “Shinrin-yoku” (or in English\, Forest Bathing) which is the practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health\, well-being\, and happiness. It is called “therapy” because spending time in nature invites healing interactions. \nIt is not a hike. The pace is slow and no longer than 500 meters. The walk lasts about one and a half hours and involves both moving\, standing still\, or sitting. \nAfter the walk\, fitness coach Abdouile will run a light fitness session where you get to move your body and reflect on your fitness goals. You’ll also get time to speak 1:1 about your fitness ambitions. Any ProWoc member interested in having Abdouile as their fitness trainer gets 10% discount. \nPlease wear comfortable shoes and sporty clothing appropriate for the weather and light exercise. You may also want to bring a bottle of water. \nBring a yoga mat or a blanket. We will provide a light brunch. \nRegistration closes at midnight Wednesday\, September 13\, 2023 \n<< Click here to sign up. >>\n\n About our Facilitators and Sponsors\nAnnelise Goldstein Fotograf Sif Meinckewww.sifmeincke.dk \nAnnelise trained as a forest therapy guide in the rainforest of Costa Rica in March 2020 just before the world was changed by the Coronavirus. SUMMARY:ProWoc Annual Wellness Event
DESCRIPTION:A personal development event by Yema Ferreira and Zozo Mposula and is open for members and non-members. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket and dress for the weather and comfortable/sporty clothing. \n\n\n\nAt this year’s ProWoc annual wellness event we are going to slow down and go within to reconnect with ourselves. Yema will facilitate a process for us to return to ourselves through gentle reflective exercises. It can be hard to hold on to a sense of who we are and where we are going amidst the busyness of daily life and work. This is an opportunity to press the reset button as we go into a new season of productivity. \n\n\n\nZozo will be facilitating Sema Kemetic Yoga\, an ancient Afrikan form of yoga based on the culture of ancient Egypt\, then known as Kemet. The importance of Sema Kemetic yoga is that it has the power to cultivate the highest aspect of consciousness in Afrikan people and the world. \n\n\n\nSema Kemetic is a restorative form of yoga that has emphasis on breath and the flow of movement rather than the movement itself. It is about connecting the higher and lower self\, cultivating our higher divine self. The focus is on breath as the life giving force \, inhaling and exhaling through the nose. She will be facilitating a Sema Kemetic yoga where we get to connect with our divine\, spiritual selves. We will finish off with a mediation. \n\n\n\nYema Ferreira is an Angolan psychotherapist\, facilitator and writer. She runs a private practice from Copenhagen (Denmark) where she is currently based. Yema works with black women who want to explore and rediscover their identities and reconnect with their cultural and spiritual roots. Yema’s therapeutic approach is based on womanist values and a pan-African perspective. Central to her approach is also an African spiritual view of mental health and of her clients. In her practice she sees clients face-to-face in Copenhagen and online internationally. She also runs personal development workshops. \n\n\n\nFlow of the day: \n\n\n\nArrival & Introduction 15 minMovement and meditation – 30min (20-25 mins for movement and 5-10min meditation)Reflection – 40-50min (15 min for each reflection session\, 5 min for instructions and 5-10 mins for sharing after)Light picnic and connection time – 25mins\n\n\n\n >> Bring yoga mat or a blanket. We will provide journals\, pens to write and a light brunch. \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register before September 16\, 2022 \n\n\n\nLocation: Frederiksberg Have (meeting point the main entrance on Allegade) \n\n\n\nFREE for members 150 DKK for non-members

SUMMARY:CD: A Guided Forest Therapy Walk with Annelise Goldstein and Mette Lose
DESCRIPTION:This event is open to Members and Non-Members. Register and purchase your ticket(s) below. There is a long tradition of this in cultures throughout the world. It is not just about healing people; it includes healing for the forest\, river\, desert\, or whatever environment you are in. \nForest Therapy is a research-based framework that supports healing and well-being through immersion in nature. Studies have shown a wide range of health benefits\, especially cardiovascular and immune systems\, and improved mood and cognition. Beyond health benefits\, the intention is also to explore what happens when people remember that we are part of nature\, not separated from it and that we are related to all other beings fundamentally. \nIt is not a hike. The pace is slow and no longer than 500 meters. The walk lasts about three hours and involves both moving\, standing still\, or sitting. Please wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing appropriate for the weather. We will walk rain or shine so good outdoor gear is recommended. You may also want to bring a bottle of water. \n“The forest is the therapist. The guide opens the door.”  Join your guides Annelise and Mette for a Forest Therapy walk that follows a sequence of invitational events designed to open the door to all of your senses\, cultivate presence and bring you in close connection with the forest.Annelise and Mette were trained as Forest Therapy guides in the rain forest of Costa Rica in March 2020 just before the world was changed by the Coronavirus. When not guiding walks in the forest\, Annelise and Mette work as organizational consultants in the areas of leadership and personal development.
